G | Back Bay quickly reaches Technology Square, on the outskirts of Kendall Square before passing the legendary 77 Mass Ave entrance to MIT and crossing the Charles River into the City of Boston. In Boston’s Back Bay, the line then follows Commonwealth Avenue, a block from the retail outlets of Newbury Street, near the Prudential Center before passing Copley Square,with the Boston Public Library Main Branch and the John Hancock Tower. The line ends at Back Bay Station, with connections to MBTA Orange Line Rapid Transit and Commuter Rail, and Amtrak intercity rail services.
