The BYKE Network (“Boynton Yards Kinetic Energy”) is a bike/e-bike-optimized virtual network of microtransit routes, referred to as “Lines,” creating a hub-and-spoke transportation network centered on the Boynton Yards, Somerville community. The BYKE Network connects most commercial, retail and transit hubs within a 30-minute equivalent biking range of Boynton Yards.

The BYKE Network consists of 20 Lines that are certified by Boynton Yards personnel to be the safest, most efficient and most pleasant journeys between the Boynton Yards community and bike-proximate origination and destination point. Many of the Lines make extensive use of emerging protected and otherwise automobile segregated bicycle facilities available in the area.

The BYKE Network contains a robust set of complementary resources to existing a prospective utility bicyclists. This complement includes turn-by-turn guidance through the FootPath application, the BYKE Hub at byke.mobi, and the BYKE YouTube Studio, containing virtual rides and other videos created to assist riders.
